ARCTOSTAPHYLOS UVA-URSI EXTRACT (Bearberry)

What it is: A plant extract derived from bearberry leaves.

Function: It is a natural source of Arbutin, a powerful tyrosinase inhibitor. Tyrosinase is the enzyme responsible for melanin production. By inhibiting it, Bearberry prevents the formation of dark spots and helps fade existing hyperpigmentation (sun spots, post-acne marks).

MORUS NIGRA EXTRACT (Mulberry)

What it is: Extract from the mulberry tree, specifically the white mulberry.

Function: Often called a natural alternative to hydroquinone. It brightens the skin by inhibiting melanin synthesis and helps break up clusters of existing pigment in the skin. It is very gentle compared to chemical brighteners.

GLYCYRRHIZA GLABRA EXTRACT (Licorice Root)

NIGELLA SATIVA SEED EXTRACT (Black Cumin)

TARAXACUM OFFICINALE LEAF EXTRACT (Dandelion)

SIMMONDSIA CHINENSIS SEED OIL (Jojoba)

What it is: A liquid wax ester extracted from the jojoba plant seeds.

Function: Chemically, it is very similar to human sebum (skin oil). This allows it to absorb easily without being greasy. It tricks the skin into thinking it has produced enough oil, helping to balance oil production while moisturizing and strengthening the barrier.

HIPPOPHAE RHAMNOIDES EXTRACT (Sea Buckthorn)

What it is: A berry extract.

Function: A nutritional powerhouse. It is one of the few plant sources that contains all Omega fatty acids (3, 6, 9, and the rare Omega-7). Omega-7 (Palmitoleic acid) is particularly effective at repairing damaged skin barriers and promoting healing. It is also rich in Vitamin C for brightening.

CAMELLIA JAPONICA FLOWER EXTRACT (Tsubaki)

What it is: Extract from the Japanese camellia flower.

Function: The oil from this flower is very close to the skin's natural sebum. It penetrates deeply to restore moisture, improve elasticity, and protect the skin from environmental stress without clogging pores.

ALLANTOIN

What it is: A compound derived from the comfrey plant (now often synthetic).

Function: A multi-tasking hero. It is a keratolytic (gently loosens dead skin cells), a moisturizer, and a wound healer. It soothes irritation, promotes cell proliferation, and helps skin repair itself. It is a staple in products for sensitive or compromised skin.

HAMAMELIS VIRGINIANA EXTRACT (Witch Hazel)

What it is: Extract from the leaves and bark of the witch hazel shrub.

Function: A natural astringent. It helps tighten pores, reduce surface oil, and tone the skin. Note: While it is astringent, in this blend it is balanced by the heavy moisturizers and soothers, so its primary role is likely to provide a mild toning effect.

ALOE BARBADENSIS EXTRACT (Aloe Vera)

What it is: The gel from the aloe vera leaf.

Function: Provides cooling hydration, contains enzymes that gently exfoliate, and has anti-inflammatory properties. It helps soothe sun exposure and calms general skin irritation.

How to Use:

Gently dot the moisturizer all over your face, forehead, cheeks, nose, chin, neck and décolleté.. Using your fingertips, massage the product into your skin using upward and outward circular motions. Avoid pulling or dragging the skin. Used during AM/PM.
